Hello, my name is Jim Martin. I have lived in the Grand Rapids area with my wife and 2 kids for about 10 years now.
Let me ask you something…
Are you someone who has the desire to own a home in the Grand Rapids area, but just do not have the means to get a mortgage at the present time?
If you answered “yes” to that question, keep reading because I will introduce you to proven method for getting started on the track towards home ownership.
It is called a “lease with an option to buy” - and I think you will find it to be a great alternative to simply “renting” a home and throwing money out the window every month.
Before you read any further, let me make something very clear…
I am NOT a real estate agent or broker. I’m a part-time investor that invests in homes in the Grand Rapids area that are undervalued. We then make these homes available to people like you with “lease w/ option to buy” terms. We structure win/win deals for all parties involved. That’s the only way to do it to really have fun in any business.
How a Lease With Option to Buy Works
A lease with an option to buy is not complicated to understand. Think of it as two separate things happening at the same time - but are linked together at some point.
First, a lease allows you to rent the property for the length of the lease term. This agreement is just like a lease you would sign to rent any apartment or home. The “option to buy” is a separate document that gives you the right (not obligation) to purchase the home on or before a certain date into the future.
Option to buy agreements are very flexible and can be tailored made to suit the needs of both buyer and seller.
